This program offers contractors certified by the Building Performance Institute who will come to your home and identify sources of wasted energy.  You will receive a detailed plan with recommended measures, costs and payback analysis.  Low-interest financing and incentives are available.

New Jersey ENERGY STAR Homes
Energy-efficient new home construction that targets Smart Growth Areas.  New Jersey ENERGYSTAR Homes are at least 15% more energy efficient than standard built homes.

Energy Efficient Products

This program offers rebates on ENERGY STAR clothes washers and dehumidifiers and promotes the sale of ENERGY STAR qualified lighting products through major retailers in New Jersey.  Please visit our online store to purchase discounted ENERGY STAR qualified light bulbs and fixtures and receive free shipping on orders over $25.

Refrigerator/Freezer Recycling Program

Residents who participate in this program will receive a $30 incentive for recycling their old, working refrigerators or freezers.  Customers end up saving up to $150 a year on energy costs.

COOLAdvantage and WARMAdvantage Programs

Cash rebates are available for energy efficient heating and cooling equipment such as central air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, boilers or water heaters.

Solar Domestic Hot Water Pilot Program
This program offers a $1,200 incentive to residential customers with electric hot water heating that install qualifying solar hot water systems.

Community Partners Initiative

Offers communities a forum to participate in statewide clean energy campaigns to educate and help enroll residents, businesses, and municipalities in New Jersey's Clean Energy programs and take advantage of valuable technical assistance and financial incentives. Community Partners receive support in their efforts to set clean energy goals, develop outreach plans, and educate residents about the economic and environmental benefits of clean energy and simple climate change solutions.

New Jersey Comfort Partners
This is a free energy saving and energy education program for qualified low-income customers.  We partner with you to help you save energy and money and make your home more energy efficient.  Certified Building Performance Institute contractors will install energy saving measures in your home to help lower your energy bills.  You will also be taught new ways to conserve energy and how to create an Action Plan to support your efforts.

Home Energy Analysis

An online tool to help residential customers understand their home energy use and take steps to save energy and save money. The analysis is linked to incentives and ENERGY STAR® rebates.

Solar Domestic Hot Water Pilot Program
New Jersey's Clean Energy Program™ launches the Solar Domestic Hot Water Pilot Program. A $1,200 incentive is now available to New Jersey residents with electric hot water heating that install qualifying solar hot water systems to replace or to supplement their existing system.*

Save money and help the environment by using less fossil fuel!
A solar domestic hot water heating system is a reliable and efficient alternative for heating your hot water.  It can provide a significant portion of your home’s water-heating needs, using electric water heating as a backup to the solar water heating system.*

Getting Started:
Call us to get started at 201-     or schedule a consultation at you convenience.

Upon completion of the solar hot water system installation, your contractor will help you complete an application which you will submit, along with copies of the installation invoice and equipment specifications, so that we may process your incentive.

Upon receipt of the application, back-up documentation, and confirmation that the project meets the eligibility requirements, a $1,200 rebate will be processed for you. Rebates can either be issued to the customer or assigned to the contractor.

Selected Eligibility Requirements:

  • Solar hot water systems must be installed in homes serviced by Public Service Electric & Gas (PSE&G), Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L), Atlantic City Electric (ACE), or Rockland Electric Company (RECO).
  • Systems must be purchased on or after September 9, 2009 and on or before December 31, 2009.  Based on the participation levels of this pilot, the effective dates of the program may be extended.
In addition:
  • System and components (tanks and collectors) must be new components, OG-300 certified by SRCC, the Solar Rating and Certification Corporation, a rating program developed to improve the performance and reliability of solar products and backed by a manufacturers warranty of 10 years for the solar collector and 6 years for the storage tank.
  • Completed systems must carry at least a 1 year comprehensive labor warranty from the date of installation.
  • Solar hot water systems must either replace or retrofit an existing electric hot water system in single family homes.
  • The contractor must provide customers with frost protection assurances and fail-safe freeze and overheat protection, which will help with extreme weather conditions.
  • Installed systems must meet all state and local plumbing, electric, and building codes, as well as local ordinances.
  • Rebates for purchase and installations meeting program requirements will be processed within 120 days after all application paperwork has been received.
*Solar Domestic Hot Water Systems do not generate Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SRECs) and will not be registered on the SREC tracking system.  For more information about SRECs and solar electric or photovoltaic, visit Renewable Energy section of the NJ Clean Energy site.

Tax Clearance Certificate

Required by New Jersey State law, all builders of newly constructed homes and/or units must apply for and receive a Tax Clearance Certificate from the Director of the New Jersey Division of Taxation before they can receive any rebate, grant or other financial assistance.

For further information and to complete the necessary forms please view the links provided below:
Public, tax-exempt organizations such as state, county, and local governments and public schools are not required to submit the Application for Tax Clearance. Certain private business entities may hold a “Sales Tax Exempt Organization Certificate (Form ST-5).” This form applies solely to purchases of tangible personal property or services and does not exempt the entity from the requirement to submit the Application for Tax Clearance.

Entities which are certain of their tax status need only complete and sign page one of the Application. If the page one information proves inadequate for the Division of Taxation to grant a Tax Clearance Certificate, the additional details from page two will be requested.
